Sabinene is an naturally occurring bicyclic monoterpene which can be used as flavorings, perfume additives, fine chemicals, and advanced biofuels. Sabinene is also an orally active compound to attenuates skeletal muscle atrophy and regulates ROS-mediated MAPK/MuRF-1 pathways.

Sabinene (6.4 mg/kg；口服；每天一次；在禁食 2 天期间) 通过调节饥饿肌管中 ROS 介导的 MAPK/MuRF-1 通路的激活机制来减轻骨骼肌萎缩，可能导致肌肉减少的逆转禁食大鼠的纤维大小。Animal Model:Fasted animal model in rat
Dosage:6.4 mg/kg
Administration:Oral gavage; once daily; during the fasting for 2 days
Result:Reduced the levels of muscle fiber atrophy and MuRF-1 expression in gastrocnemius from fasted rats.
