Butriptyline (1000 mg/kg; in diet; 10 weeks) shows anti-obesity effect in mice.Butriptyline hydrochloride (2.5-30 mg/kg; i.p.; 10-15 day intervals) causes a dose dependent depression of the food reinforced responses and slightly depresses the avoidance reflex at the highest doses in male albino rats.Animal Model:Female CFLP mice, monosodium glutamate (MSG)-induced obesity model

Administration:In diet, 10 weeks
Result:Significantly lowered the body weight.
