Xanthoxylin (Xanthoxyline) can be isolated from Zanthoxylum simulans. Xanthoxylin has antifungal and antioxidant effects. The MIC of Xanthoxylin against Toxoplasma neonatorum and Aspergillus fumigatus were 50 μg/mL and 75 μg/mL, respectively. Xanthoxylin can be used in the study of anti-epileptic diseases.

Xanthoxylin (6.25-50 μg/mL, 72 h) 在小鼠 B16F10 黑色素瘤细胞中抑制细胞活力, 可通过 cAMP 介导的 PKA 活化诱导黑素形成。
